CU Presents is administered by the CU-Boulder College of Music.
The University of Colorado Boulder College of Music offers an impressive series of programs for both undergraduate and graduate study, with the perfect combination of access to a diverse university setting and specialized music training. Our curricula combine tradition with innovation and are designed to offer students the flexibility to reach a variety of professional goals. With seven degree plans and over 23 fields of study, our programs cover virtually all areas of music.
Since its founding in 1920, the college has earned a reputation not only for preparing students for successful careers in music, but also for providing them with an outstanding college education. Because we are part of one of the nation's top universities, we offer a balanced approach that blends intensive music training with a solid liberal arts education. In addition, the University of Colorado's Council on Academic Advising recently designated the college as the Outstanding Undergraduate Advising Program on campus.
The college, with 350 undergraduate and 200 graduate students, boasts a ratio of approximately one faculty member for every six students. This enables our students to benefit from dynamic, personal interaction with their professors. The members of our faculty are respected performers, composers, educators, and scholars who take a deep and lasting interest in the students of the College of Music. Internationally renowned artists such as Christopher Parkening, James Galway, and Wynton Marsalis perform and teach master classes on campus.
